The new Oliva Serie V Melanio Edición Año 2024 uses the same components as the regular production Serie V Melanio line, with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper covering a Nicaraguan binder and filler. It is offered in a 5 1/2 x 60 gordo vitola and dressed with an additional band bearing the year 2024. The boxes also get an update with images of a piano and the paper lining the box printed with sheet music.

As for the music, it comes from Dec. 1, 2023, when Montag sat down at his piano and lit up an Oliva Serie V Melanio Gran Toro. A press release describes it as “a 45-minute burst of creative mania—unique musical notes guided by exclusive taste notes of a long-lasting, dazzling cigar.” To access the music, consumers simply scan a QR code inside the box.
